EFT stands for Emotional Freedom Technique but it's also known simply as 'Tapping'. It is a gentle technique that works by releasing blockages within
the energy system which are the source of our emotional discomfort.
As we go through life, it's inevitable that we pick up negative patterns of behaviour or limiting beliefs about ourself. Sometimes we have fears or phobias picked up from early childhood. For some of us, these lead to uncomfortable thoughts, feelings or troubling memories that seem to haunt us and shape our behaviour. This may be in ways that we hardly notice such as having a ready-made excuse to avoid a situation or not applying for that dream job even though part of you knows you can do it. For others, it can lead to anxiety and panic attacks - seemingly from out of nowhere and without warning.
You may feel you have no control over these thoughts or the physical reactions of your body. This is because your powerful subconsious mind is running the show. In an EFT session, we bring up those thoughts, feelings or emotions and 'tap' on pressure points to remove the emotional intensity linked to them. This reduces their power and allows you to hear the more rational part of your mind and move forward in a more positive way.
My EFT sessions last for 60-90 minutes and can be done very effectively on a video call. The cost is £75 per session. You just need to be in a quiet room where you won't be disturbed. It can deliver quick results over just a couple of sessions, but some issues are more complex and will require a course of sessions. This can be discussed during your initial consultation. EFT is an effective self-help tool and I can show you how you can continue to progress between sessions by using it on yourself, especially in times of need.
